WHCA Summer Block Party – September 3rd 4pm-7pm
We love our West Hillhurst neighbourhood! Thank you to Meghan S. who spread the word and got our neighbours involved by nominating each other for the Rumi Powered by ATCO Block Party contest. Great neighbours make the world a better place, thank you for recognizing all the wonderful people who live in our neighbourhood, it really does take a village.
The ulitmate Summer Block Party! We are so excited to host this community event. Stop on by for a beverage from Tail Gunner Brewery, enjoy some live local music, food trucks, pool party, field games and more. The event runs from 4-7pm. We will be looking for volunteers to help set up and run our event, stay tuned to social media for the signup. WinterFest 2022 was a huge success with almost 300 people in attendance! We at WHCA are thankful for receiving funds via the Warm Up to Winter provided to us through Parks Foundation Calgary and The City of Calgary. WHCA would like to express much gratitude to our partnerships with Lisa-Jane from TELUS and Peter and Genna from our neighbourhood 7-Eleven. Our community was able to enjoy a long overdue outdoor community experience. WHCA appreciates you – you made it possible. THANK YOU!

Looking Ahead…Stay tuned for our Warm up to Winter Event in February where WHCA will be hosting a family friendly outdoor event with skating, organized shinny games and other outdoor experiments and activities. Stay Warm this winter at the WHCA outdoor space with our new fire pit and benches. Thanks to the Warm up to Winter Grant. The Warm Up to Winter Grant Program is made possible by a partnership between Parks Foundation Calgary and The City of Calgary and is intended to support outdoor events that enable Calgarians to safely gather together with their communities during the winter months.
