Alberta Theatre Projects – CONSTELLATIONS
SOPHISTICATED ROMANCE CONSTELLATIONS BY NICK PAYNE DIRECTED BY VALERIE PLANCHE
FEBRUARY 27 – MARCH 17, 2018
Martha Cohen Theatre, 215 8 Ave SE, Calgary, AB
Running until mid-March, Alberta Theatre Projects hosts Constellations, a magically romantic tale of two unlikely individuals, who by chance, find themselves falling deeply in love. Though life throws some unexpected curve balls, the two beautiful characters, Roland and Marianne, work together in finding peace in their relationship.
As reported on the Visit Calgary website, “An international hit on Broadway and in London’s West End, Constellations is a spellbinding love story about an unlikely romance between Roland, a beekeeper, and Marianne, a physicist. After a chance encounter at a barbeque brings them together the possibility of a spark seems unlikely, but what happens next defies the limits of our understanding of time and space. Unfolding in a series of parallel moments over the course of their relationship, the play explores the infinite trajectories that love can take to bring us together or pull us apart.”
