Santa Skate- We are hosting Mr. Claus on ice to give WHCA members an opportunity to get some firsthand holiday spirit. This event is FREE with your WHCA annual family membership. Holiday Movie at Plaza Theatre– Come spend some holiday time with your West Hillhurst friends and family at The Plaza Theatre in Hillhurst. Registration is required. WHCA member programs
WHCA member programs* (included with a valid annual WHCA membership) Registration is required and must follow all rules and regulations. Additional benefits of having a WHCA membership are access to WHCA Events (10+ throughout the year), registration for programs like Preschool, Soccer, Skating, Squash and Fitness, Tennis and so much more. WHCA would like to thank the local businesses that have partnered up with the community association to provide even more benefits to our membership holders.
Member Skate, Sticks and Puck times are weekly (Sept-June) PLUS once a month additional holiday/weekend offerings – dates and times posted online with registration opening one week prior to the skate time.
Weekly Member Skate – Wednesdays- 1:30pm-2:30pm
Weekly Member Sticks and Pucks – Wednesdays-2:30pm-3:30pm

Registration opens one week prior to skate, membership and registration are required.
Outdoor rink: Come out an enjoy our wonderful outdoor ice and fire pit, maintained by our amazing volunteers.
Arena Rental: Discounted rates for WHCA families Monday-Friday 8am-4pm $53/hr (Max 2 families, No teams/group bookings/coaching/instructors at the discounted rate). Must have a valid annual WHCA membership for the discounted rate. Online request form.
Adult Tai Chi – Sundays 10am-11am – Register
Wellness Series by Calgary Health Collective – Thursdays 6pm-7pm – Register
WHCA safety rules
- Helmets are strongly encouraged for everyone including adults
- No strollers, no sleds
- Cannot skate with a child in a carrier
- No sticks and pucks during member skate
- Only use the dressing rooms assigned and the overflow seating in the hallway
- No private instruction or team usage
- NO SHOWERS – due to all ages using the ice at this time
- Due to youth and mixed genders in the dressing rooms, we are asking everyone to come dressed and ready to play.
Please keep facility hallways and lobby areas clear at all times.
