The only Canadian stop, Ellen DeGeneres has chosen to speak to a very lucky crowd of Calgarians at the Scotia Bank Saddledome April 21, 2018.  We have all seen her on television, now experience the fun, loving, excitable and personable celebrity in person.  Ellen has inspired fans & people around the world and has been a supporting voice & advocate for the LGTBQ community.

As reported on Global News, “A Conversation with Ellen DeGeneres” will highlight her one-of-a-kind humour during a moderated question-and-answer conversation on Saturday, April 21.

The comedian and daytime talk show host will deliver “inspiring and hilarious experiences” for her fans.

The Price is Right Live

The Price is Right Live is coming back to the Grey Eagle Resort & Casino.  Come on down and enjoy the interactive game show that is sure to get the audience going.  Have your chance to play a game and spin the big wheel.

It Takes a Village to Raise a Chive

Spring is officially on our doorsteps and the spring warmth is sure to come (hopefully).  Often the most favourite part of the year for ‘green-thumb’ gardeners, it’s time to prep your gardens for the 2018 growing season.  As one of the Green Committee Garden Talks, ‘It Takes a Village to Raise a Chive’ will take you into the miniature world of the gardening environment.

Partners Bridge Tournament

The West Hillhurst Go-Getters will be hosting a Partners Bridge Tournament on the weekend of Saturday, March 17, 2018.

Calgary Maple Festival des Sucres

Start March off right with some good family fun, entertainment and some east-coast tradition at the annual Calgary Maple Festival des Sucres.  This two-day weekend event hosts multiple of dance and folk music from French-Canadian, Metis and First Nations folk music, dance and tasty foods from local businesses.

Happy Chinese New Years

Happy Chinese New Year!    And what important year it will be.  It’s that time of year in the Chinese culture where celebrations take place.  This year, the Chinese New Year is on Friday, February 16, 2018.

As reported on When-Is, “according to the Chinese 12-year animal zodiac cycle, the Chinese year beginning in 2018 is the year of the Dog. Each Chinese zodiac year begins on Chinese New Year’s Day.”
