Send Us Your Village Beer Receipts!

Neighbour Day is all about gathering, and Village Brewery was built with the purpose of gathering people around community. To support this, they are working with the Federation of Calgary Communities to offer rebates to community associations for all Village beer purchases made by Calgarians throughout the month of June, as part of Neighbour Day celebrations.

Purchase any kind of Village beer from June 1 to June 30, 2019 and send a copy of your receipts to us at the West Hillhurst Community Association. Village Brewery will then donate 15% of all neighbourhood beer purchases back to us for future community-building initiatives! We will also make receipt donation boxes available in select liquor stores throughout the neighbourhood, so keep your eye out for them and make sure to submit your receipts! This funds go a long way for the WHCA and our fundraising efforts, and every little bit counts. You can also stop by the office at WHCA and drop your receipts off in person.

The NEW Library is HERE!

Did you know that the New Central Library construction is basically complete? Are you wanting to see this new innovative space that will bring Calgarians into a new community? Do you want to see what the library all has to offer to the public or see the gorgeous architecture that has helped beautify the Calgary cityscape?

As reported on the Avenue Calgary website, The Lit Gala takes place on November 2, 2018 from 7:30 p.m. until midnight.

“Celebrate the arrival of the New Central Library (and be among the first to explore it) at this opening gala that takes place the day after it officially opens to the public. Take in the building’s astounding architecture and design while checking out special experiences on each floor. There will also be featured speakers, performers and refreshments. The Lit Gala is raising money to start a speaker series at the New Central Library, which would bring in notable speakers from around the world. ”

Village Brewery Gives Back

Village Brewery Neighbourhood Day Rebate > June 1 – 30, 2018

If you purchase Village Beer between June 1 – 30, 2018, drop your copy of the receipt at your local community association (WHCA). The non-porfit community association will receive 15% rebate donation throughout the month!

Help your non-profit West Hillhurst Community Association by providing us with your Village Beer receipts so the CA can continue to bring events, programming, upgrades and more to the community and our neighbours. 15% rebate goes directly into funding of the community centre.

25It’s finally spring (temperature wise) and that means the WHCA is starting the 2018 project season. Among the many upgrades and renovations that will occur this year, the WHCA has an innovative project that is coming to light. Do you love to work with wood? Advertise with WHCA

WHCA In-House Advertising Opportunities

Opportunity:

WHCA is opening advertising space to internal programs or external companies. By doing so, the public will be able to see external and internal advertising for the program or company and help drive traffic into the facility and into local businesses.

Options:

Advertising space will be available on the fences along the property line. This means, space is available in front of the community center and on the west side of the building. Programs and companies are responsible for printing and producing their own advertising and marketing material through a source such as Vista Print or Shutterfly. Banners that are purchased must have tie-holes and rope, included.

Once payment is made, the marketing and advertising team will await arrival of your banner. At that time, the banners will be hung outside along the fence area.

– One month banner advertising on either front OR side fence – $30.00
– Two month banner advertising on either front OR side fence – $50.00
– One month banner advertising on both front AND side fences -$50.00
– Two month banner advertising on both front AND side fences – $75.00

Advertising is available within the facilities washrooms. Our clients will produce their own materials in which they can send to the marketing coordinator, the finalized product for printing. Material ratio must 8×10 inches (2400px x 3000px) in portrait orientation.

Men’s Washroom (Gymnasium) – Four Spaces

Men’s Bathroom (Arena) – Two Spaces
Women’s Bathroom (Arena) – One Space

– Full Annual Advertising in all locations – $800.00
– Select Locations (up to 3) Annual Advertising – $600.00
– Select Locations (up to 2) Annual Advertising – $500.00
– Individual Monthly Locations – $50.00Clients are responsible to provide advertising materials to the marketing coordinator. Annual advertising clients may change their advertisements as much as needed. Client must provide new advertisements or PDF files for STANDARD printing to marketing team.

Design Services:

Design services are available for companies and programs. Let the WHCA marketing and communications team develop your in-house advertisement. We will work closely with the client to ensure their advertisement exceeds their expectations. Client must provide colour profiles, typeface, copy and any other relevant information that is required within the design.

– Full Design – $35.00 per/ hr. (minimum 3 hours.)

All advertising dollars raised will profit the community association by increasing internal and external advertising and marketing. Funds will be used to research, develop and implement new programs, equipment, renovations and ensure a quality experience to the public, while utilizing the facility.

By advertising within WHCA, we will create a more vibrant community that is further networked to support local companies and businesses. WHCA will further engage with community members and increase attendance in the facility, thus, benefiting from seeing client’s businesses and advertisements.
