FEBRUARY 27 – MARCH 17, 2018

Running until mid-March, Alberta Theatre Projects hosts Constellations, a magically romantic tale of two unlikely individuals, who by chance, find themselves falling deeply in love.  Though life throws some unexpected curve balls, the two beautiful characters, Roland and Marianne, work together in finding peace in their relationship.

As reported on the Visit Calgary website, “An international hit on Broadway and in London’s West End, Constellations is a spellbinding love story about an unlikely romance between Roland, a beekeeper, and Marianne, a physicist. After a chance encounter at a barbeque brings them together the possibility of a spark seems unlikely, but what happens next defies the limits of our understanding of time and space. Film Production @ WHCA

For the last while. a team of exceptional film and TV production specialists have made the WHCA home to the location of their short web series, The Parent Council

Found on the Story Hive website, “Conner is a stay-at-home Dad who joins his daughter’s elementary school Parent Council because he wants to feel like he’s contributing more, and also to connect with other adults! When he gets there, he finds a diverse group of people (and personalities) who are all passionate about doing what they can for their kids and for the school – but everyone has VERY different ideas about what’s best for all. This is a group of people that would probably not be together outside of the Council but all share something in common: being parents and loving their kids. The series will be looking at the challenges (& sometimes the frustrations) of parenting through the lens of different cultures and different beliefs while trying to find common ground…as well as getting more sleep!

The Parent Council has been taking advantage of the awesome spaces that the WHCA community center has available to rent.  WHCA wants everyone to check out this silly, but real short and tell us what you think.  Please vote 5 stars ***** for the film and let the talents continue for Calgary and area.

Contest voting opened February 5, 2018 and will close this Friday, February 9, 2018.  Don’t delay and vote today.  By doing so, the film  and production team could win a package from Telus, that will help launch their web series and continue to support the community.  Better yet, WHCA will be the prime location for filming and producing the film.

Support the local talent and help continue to put West Hillhurst on the map for film and television production.  To watch and vote, click here.  For more information, please read below:
