Parent/Tot CanSkateAges 3 – 5 years old. For beginner skaters who have never skated before. Skaters will learn the basics of skating such as fall down/get up, balance on 2 feet, move forward, move backward and more. This is the perfect program if your young skater is a little shy, it allows parents to work with their skaters and a professional coach to develop their basic skating skills. *CSA Approved Hockey Helmets and proper-fitting lace-up style skates are mandatory for both skaters and parents in this program. Adults participating should have at minimum basic skating experience and be able to assist their skater.Register
Pre-CanSkateAges 3 – 5 years old. Pre-CanSkate is designed for children who are beginners who have never skated before or require coaching assistance for standing, walking and moving on the ice. This program teaches children the basics of how to get up when they fall down, how to move forward, basic backward movement and how to stop. Skaters will be ready for CanSkate Stage 1 level after passing the Pre-CanSkate.Register
CanSkateAges 5 & Up. CanSkate is Skate Canada’s learn-to-skate program for beginner skaters focusing on developing the 3 fundamentals of skating, Balance, Control and Agility. Skaters can progress and earn badges as they level up from Stage 1 to 6.Register
U7 PowerSkateAges 4 -6. PowerSkate is a beginner-level group program geared to hockey and ringette players with basic skating skills (can skate and stand up unassisted) looking to level up their skating skills.Register
U9 / U11 PowerSkateAges 6 -9 / 9 – 11. The U9 / U11 PowerSkate program is a high-energy program geared to hockey and ringette players looking to level up their skating skills. This program focuses on developing the 3 fundamental areas of skating: Balance, Control and Agility and includes components of power and speed.Register
U13 / U15 PowerSkateAges 11 -13 / 13 – 15. The U13 / U15 PowerSkate program is designed for experienced hockey and ringette players looking to level up their skating skills in a small-group format. This program focuses on developing the 3 fundamental areas of skating: Balance, Control and Agility and incorporates components of power and speed to develop well-rounded players.Register
Learn to Figure SkateAges 5+. For beginner figure skaters moving up from Canskate with little to no figure skating experience (0-2 yrs). Skaters must have passed CanSkate Stage 3 or higher.Register
Junior STARSkateAges 5 & Up. Junior STARSkate is designed for beginner figure skaters who have advanced beyond CanSkate Stage 3 level and wanting to start figure skating in a group lesson format. Skaters at this level may choose to be in both the CanSkate Stages 4-6 levels and the Junior Development program at the same time and will acquire their skating skills with the goal of completing STAR 1 level Skate Canada assessments. Skaters have the opportunity to develop their fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of skating skills, free skate, ice dance and artistic skating.Register
STARSkate Open SessionsFigure Skaters STAR 2 – Gold Level. Registration includes ice time only. Private and Semi-private lessons available upon request.Register
INT/SR STARSkate & CompetitiveSkate Dryland TrainingAges 7+. Dryland fitness training for figure skaters working towards STAR 3-5 assessments in this program and may be participating in STAR 3-5 or higher competitive levels.Register
Adult & Teen Learn to SkateAges 18 & Up; Ages 13 & Up. Adult and Teen Learn to Skate is for beginner level Adult and Teen skaters who have never skated before or have basic skating skills and would like to develop their fundamentals skating skills. Skaters can learn in a group lessons format which allows skaters to learn in a fun, social environment.Register
Adult & Teen Learn to Figure SkateAdults: Age 18+l Teens: Ages 13+. For beginner adult and teen figure skaters with little to no figure skating experience (0-2 yrs). MUST have basic skating skills including forward stride, backward skating, stopping and gliding.Register
Adult Figure SkatingAges 18 & Up. Adult Skating is growing in popularity and offers opportunities to learn and develop skating skills and movements at their own pace. Adult figure skaters are encouraged to take private lessons and on-ice delivery of skating skills will focus on improving and mastering figure skating field of moves and elements such as spins, jumps, spirals. Skaters will learn individually and along with other skaters in a fun, social environment.Register
Power Skating (Private lessons only.)Ages 7 & Up. PowerSkate provides an alternative to figure skating and is an excellent complement for those athletes playing on hockey or ringette teams. This program focuses on on balance, power, agility, speed, and endurance. Skills, techniques and conditioning drills are taught in a progressive format that emphasizes how the skills apply to game situations.Email

PRIVATE COACHING AND FEES
Private and semi-private lessons for all ages and levels are available upon request through our team of certified Skate Canada Professional Coaches. All priivate and semi-private lessons must be booked directly with a coach and fees will be individually billed by the coach to each family.
